Last night I played a really nice house concert in Manhattan. It made me never want to play in a bar or a club ever again. People were silent, attentive, suportive and enthusiastic. Not that I’ve had particularly bad experiences playing other venues, but this one was just particularly great. Not to mention that the “stage” area overlooked the Henry Hudson and the NJ skyline....
